Cluster density slopes from dark matter–baryons energy transfer

چکیده
In this paper, we extend previous works on the relation between mass and inner slope in dark matter density profiles. We calculate that range going from dwarf galaxies to cluster of galaxies. This was done thanks a modeling energy transfer via SN AGN feedback, as well dynamical friction baryon clumps. show that, above galaxy masses (Groups clusters), slope-mass changes its trend. It flattens (towards less cuspy profile) around corresponding groups steepens again for large masses. The flattening is produced by outflows (AGN feedback). one-$ \sigma$ scatter $\alpha$ approximately constant all ($\Delta\alpha\simeq 0.3$). first paper extending profile relationship clusters galaxies, accounting role baryons. result can be used obtain complete profile, also taking baryons into account. Cardassian Expansion: Dark Energy Density from Modified Friedmann Equations
The Cardassian universe is a proposed modification to the Friedmann equation in which the universe is flat, matter dominated, and accelerating. In the ordinary Friedmann equation, the right hand side is a linear function of the energy density, H ∼ ρ. Here, instead, the right hand side of the Friedmann equation is a different function of the energy density, H ∼ g(ρ). This function returns to ord...
متن کاملCluster Strong Lensing Constraints on Dark Energy
Cluster strong lensing can be used to obtain constraints on cosmological parameters, in particular as we show here, the dark energy equation of state. This is achieved by using multiple images of sources at two or more distinct redshift planes. Utilizing many families of multiply imaged sources we obtain purely geometric constraints on dark energy that are largely independent of the properties ...
متن کاملDark Energy Density in Brane World
We present a possible explanation to the tiny positive cosmological constant under the frame of AdS5 spacetime embedded by a dS4 brane. We calculate the dark energy density by summing the zero point energy of massive scalar fields in AdS5 spacetime. Under the assumption that the radius of AdS5 spacetime is of the same magnitude as the radius of observable universe, the dark energy density in dS...
متن کاملDark Energy from Strings
A long-standing problem of theoretical physics is the exceptionally small value of the cosmological constant Λ ∼ 10−120 measured in natural Planckian units. Here we derive this tiny number from a toroidal string cosmology based on closed strings. In this picture the dark energy arises from the correlation between momentum and winding modes that for short distances has an exponential fall-off wi...
متن کاملDark energy from backreaction
We consider the effect of inhomogeneities on the expansion of the Einstein-de Sitter universe. We find that the backreaction of linear scalar metric perturbations results in apparent dark energy with a mixture of equations of state between 0 and –4/3. We discuss the possibility that backreaction could account for present-day acceleration.
